Micaelle Guirand Titus

Micaelle Guirand Titus is a Veteran of the United States Army with an honorable discharge of serving her country. She has worked in the health arena for over a decade with eight years of that time spent with The Florida Department of Health in Miami Dade-County (FDOH) as the Surveillance Manager, Minority AIDS Coordinator, and Disease Intervention Specialist. As a FDOH staff, Ms. Titus oversaw the STD Surveillance Department for the entire Miami-Dade County. She was also instrumental in organizing large health awareness events that reached hundreds. One of these events was recognized with a Proclamation from the City of North Miami, signed by Mayor Andre Pierre. Ms. Titus holds a Health Service Administration degree from Barry University and continues to further her education in the Public Health field at Florida International University. As a notable Health Advocate, Ms. Titus is helping to educate individuals most at risk for health disparities and bringing awareness to the lack of health equity in our community for women of color. Micaelle is the Founder and Executive Director of the Community Health and Empowerment Network (CHE). CHE is an organization established to help reduce health disparities in the community by empowering women and their families to take control of their health. Micaelle has collaborated with faith-based leaders, elected officials, business owners, college students, and others to lead CHE and be a vessel for change in our community. Ms. Titus also believes in serving and mentoring our youth. As the Health & Wellness Magnet Coordinator at Boyd H. Anderson High School, Micaelle educates, counsels and empowers adolescents to gain the education and experience they need in order to enter the healthcare field as Practical / Registered Nurses, Paramedics, Athletic Trainers and other health professions.
For her work in the community, Micaelle Guirand Titus has received numerous accolades. In 2015, she received Presidential Award of Excellence from The Family Foundation for her work in HIV Prevention and education. In addition, in 2018, Ms. Titus received The Caribbean America Heritage Award for her work as a community planner in the Caribbean-American community. Ultimately, Micaelle Titus is a strong and passionate leader who is making a huge impact in our community. Her life pleasures include running and spending time with her two beautiful daughters, Jasmine and Mianah.
