Taking Action In The Community
COVID-19 Vaccinations & Awareness
As cases, of Covid-19 / Coronavirus, rise in our communities, we are working with local governments to provide vaccination resources.
The Community Health and Empowerment Network (CHE Network) has been fortunate to partner with several sponsors to boost Covid-19 vaccination support and Coronavirus awareness within minority communities. We have created an assistance program to provide support to those are are hesitant about getting vaccinated. Our campaign has proven to be a success and continues to grow in exposure by getting many of our community members vaccinated. CHE Network has sponsored these vaccine events to increase the accessibility of the Covid-19 vaccine for the underserved and minority populations within Miami-Dade County.
Prevention of New HIV Cases, and Stigma
Awarded multiple grants related to protecting our community from the spread of HIV.
Community Health and Empowerment Network was one of the sub-recipient’s of the “Ending the HIV Epidemic” grant in 2020. Our partnership with the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County, and the Health Council of South Florida has allowed our organization to work closely with the local communities to educate, screen and provide a direct pathway for information about HIV. Over the years, we have continued to be supported by such organizations as a grantee, to work and collaborate with those partners to end new HIV incidences, eliminate HIV stigma, and help individuals avoid new AIDS related deaths within the Miami-Dade County.
